I'm a civil engineering student focused on sustainable and equitable urban planning from Boyle Heights. I’ve developed a deep connection to public transit and the communities it serves. Growing up on the East Side and attending school on the West Side, transit has always been a vital service for me and many others who rely on it daily. I’m currently involved with community organizations that promote transportation justice through advocacy and public engagement.
Through both academic and civic experiences, I’ve gained valuable insight into how planning and policy shape mobility in Los Angeles. I want to document Metro and transportation policy-related meetings to help make these decision-making processes more transparent and accessible, especially for underrepresented communities. I bring strong attention to detail, a lived understanding of LA’s transit system, and a deep commitment to advancing mobility justice.
The purpose of the BAC is to act in an advisory capacity to the Mayor, City Council Members, and the various agencies of the government of the City of Los Angeles in the encouragement and facilitation of the use of the bicycle as regular means of transportation and recreation.
