Cleveland Documenters School Choice Special Assignment
Location unavailable
For a little more than a decade, Cleveland Metropolitan School District has had a “school choice” process where families choose which district public school or approved charter school to attend. This process is separate from the process of applying for a voucher to pay for a private school.
Students in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District can decide which schools they want to attend. The process of choosing a school or district- sponsored charter is referred to as “school choice.” It is used for K-8 schools and high schools.
OUR GOAL for this special assignment: We want to hear from parents, caregivers, students and others connected to the process about their experiences with school choice. We also want to learn more about how transportation to and from school plays into those choices.
